Fright Filled Fall Fun...

I had such an amazing night last night with the best friend (Noella).  We have watched every Paranormal Activity together, and decided we should keep the tradition going.  Paranormal Activity 4 was so good!  We went to eat, see the movie, and then went to the Talon Falls Screampark.  Talon Falls is this huge 40 acre haunted village, with 4 different huge attractions.  First you go on the Blood Creek Hayride where you get shot at, watch a gas station burn, and travel through an old mining tunnel.  Next, you are directed to the Talon Falls haunted house.  This part includes a haunted lagoon complete with "haunted" swinging bridge over a pond, a slaughter house, and a jail full of zombies!  This part is huge and takes about 20 mins to go through, it was also the best.  Thirdly, you end up at a Doll Factory and make your way through a creeptastic house full of people dressed up as Dolls.  There is also an asylum section in this house and the actors are so great at being truly nutty!  Finally a new part was added this year and I was so excited when I heard it was going to be a "freakshow".  This part is in a huge circus tent that you have to find your way through, and then you come to a bunch of fake side show exhibits.  There are 3 real people who do acts, but only as you are walking through and people are pushing you along.  There was a lady fire eater, a guy who could pull a balloon from his nose to his mouth, and a guy who could hammer a nail into his nose.  Needless to say it was not what I expected and I was majorly disappointed with this part, even though they did have a huge ball pit and foam!

Talon Falls is so much fun and even though it is a little pricey at 40 dollars a person you get a lot for your money.  I will say if you are thinking of going plan it out, the lines can be very long and you may have to wait a long time between attractions due to the number of guests.  Notice the time and date you wanna go the weekend of or before Halloween is a no go unless you want to stand in line with a thousand kids and adult complaining about the wait.  Opening weekend same deal.  I've had good luck going between opening and Halloween at around 9, this made the lines go super quick we made it through in three hours last night compared to going weekend before Halloween last year and being in the ticket line for 3 hours.

Late Friday Five...

What I'm reading..
This week I haven't really had much time to read, and when I was reading it was the *DSM IV* sadly diagnosing mental disorders. Although, I have been listening to The Stand by Stephen King from Audible.com so I don't go into complete book withdraw!  The Stand, if you're not familiar with Stephen King books is about a fight between good and evil after a super flu is released from a government testing facility and kills 99% of the population.  It's very long, but very interesting all the way through.  It has many different characters, good and bad, and you get to follow their journeys through the new world they have to create.

I have a new book I bought this week Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Mayberry and I am so excited to turn my senior paper in so I won't feel guilty about reading it.  It looks really interesting, and is about life after the Zombie Apocalypse.  It's a trilogy which I love, gives me more time to fall in love with the characters!

What I'm listening to..
I have been listening to a lot of different music this week but there is one song I have to share with y'all that has been in my head a lot!
It's such a cute song and I fell in love with Psy when he came on the MTV movie awards.  So have fun listening and try not to get it stuck in your head too!

What I'm watching..
Honestly, I hate to admit what I have been watching in the few minutes I can find to watch TV, but I feel as though I can be open with the people who stop by.  Don't Judge ME!
I know horrible right, I feel bad even sharing it with y'all, but I'll tell you like a friend of mine told me.  This show is like a train wreck,  once you see that it's happening you have to watch and see how big the wreck is gonna be!  And let me tell you this show is a HUGE wreck.  I feel everyone needs to be themselves, but if I had ever acted like that around my Gran she would have put me out of my misery!

What I'm eating..
This week I haven't really ate a lot except sandwiches, sad I know.  I love to cook, but with a month left till the due date on this project I can't seem to find enough time in the day to cook a good meal.  So I guess my secret weapon for energy and such would be ok to share...
These drinks really are amazing they are an espresso protein shake and I love them!

What I'm pinning..
It's Fall, and I have been procrastinating bringing out the warmer clothes, even though I am so excited to be able to wear them again.  Here in the South it gets cold, and then out of nowhere we have another warm spell.  Last year I got caught with all my nice light clothes neatly boxed up when than warmness came and visited West TN.  That will not happen this year!  I said all that to say this,  I have been pinning so many cute Fall outfits, most I know I will never own, but a girl can dream!

I have pinned a lot of quotes this week, mostly because I have needed a little boost on the happiness level and there is no better way for me than to read some good quotes such as these...

It's Fall Y'all...

Fall is my favorite time of the year, I think it's because all of the wonderful memories I have made over the years of football, bonfires, and wonderful times with friends and family.  I think being from the south has also played a big part in my love for Fall.  My husband is a stereotypical "good ole' southern boy"  he farms, hunts, and loves to play in the dirt!  I on the other hand would rather sit on the front porch with a glass of sweet tea and watch him do all of the above from a rocking chair.  Over the years we have been together I have become a little more involved in some of his endeavors.  I will ride in the tractor with him every once in a while and I even have my own hunting outfit.  My favorite part of the Fall though is when it gets cool and all of our friends get together and ride four-wheelers in the bottoms and have bonfires.  What's everyone's favorite thing to do in the Fall?
